Sketchbook Month – Day 16

 

Today I decided to post my sketch for the Montana Skatepark’s On Deck auction. I volunteered to decorate one for the auction. I’m not really into skate culture and have never decorated a skate deck, so it’s an interesting challenge.

With this one I was putting way too much pressure on myself since I knew lots of people would see it and it would be auctioned off. I’m finally happy with my plan for this circus performer happy hour. I was already excited about the illustration and then I added the drunk circus master which really brought everything together for me. Sometimes one little thing can make a big difference. I’ll be posting some process photos once it’s finished, which will probably be next week.
